Our Mission:
To advance independent orthopaedic practice by employing opportunities to express a voice in and shape the future of orthopaedics.
OrthoForum Advocacy
The OrthoForum believes that the highest quality, most cost-effective delivery of orthopaedic medicine is done through independent practice groups. To support this belief, the OrthoForum is committed to actively advocating for its purposes and public positions. These advocacy efforts are championed and managed through the OrthoForum Advocacy Committee.
The OrthoForum Advocacy Committee is composed of members who have expressed an interest in promoting the agenda of independent orthopaedic practices at the federal level. The committee’s agenda is set annually and coordinated through our lobbying firm, Todd Strategy Group in Washington D.C. Monthly committee telephone calls are held to review and plan future Advocacy Committee activities. Please note that no Advocacy Committee monies are forwarded to any political candidate for office. Instead, monies are used to brand the OrthoForum name in D.C., to engage our professional lobbyists and to perform data analysis, including funding research that substantiates the value of independent orthopaedic practices. Advocacy works! Legislators and their staff need to hear the benefits of independent medicine.
